Today seems a really short day for me! I guess it's because I slept till 2pm today..But it was because i was really tired after my day trip at Varberg last night!
Anyway.. Varberg is a small town just 30 minutes train ride from Goteborg! Went there with my neighbours from Germany and Czech Republic. We were pretty lucky because the weather was really good! =)
See the awesome weather!! And the clouds that look like Candy floss =D
I thought I could only see such pictures in magazine!
Our first stop was at this Nature Reserve, where we were introduced to the different types of birds that could be seen in this place.
Walked around after that and continued admiring the awesome views =D
Next was the fortress! The fortress was built in 1300s and it's now used as a museum. Looking at how it's surrounded by water and tall, I can understand why it was hard to conquer it during war period =)
There's lovely sea view there too! But don't be fooled by the lovely weather.. It was REALLY COLD!
And see how clear the water are =D
We went to inside the museum after that but din have any photos of it because no cameras were allowed =(
The museum was really interesting! There were....
- A Bocksten man, a corpse with costume preserved from the 14 century. They reconstructed his face and body using his skull!
- The button bullet that killed the King Karl XII. In the past, the people believed that the king was not ordinary person and could only be killed by things he carry with him. So, they stole a button on his clothes and made it into a bullet to kill him. Quite interesting huh? =)
- Some art pieces by 3 different artists in end 19th century. It's kinda true that artists are only popular when they die huh? =(
There wasnt many other things to do since it's a small town and most of the shops are closed pretty early on satuday. But we managed to catch the lovely sunset yup! This was the sunset photo taken at 4plus! Sighh...it's getting dark earlier and earlier...
Walked for a little while more and went to chill at a cafe bar till 7pm for our train back home!
And yeah...Bad choice of footwear today.. my shoes were soooo dirty after that! =(
